Depending on your needs, you can go with ethanol- or propylene-glycol-base antifreeze. There is also a variety of propylene-ethanol blends. An ethanol-based antifreeze is also known as an alcohol-based one. It is the most affordable option. However, using it has a number of downsides. To wit, it may dry out rubber in the plumbing system and affect the taste of drinking water. Propylene glycol is a synthetic formulation that eliminates those issues but costs slightly more.
