An RV water heater access door is a simple but important part protecting a gas valve, thermostat, burner tube, and other vital components from damage and weather elements. Available in different dimensions, the door is typically made of metal and has openings to let the air required for the burning process in, while hot exhaust goes out into the atmosphere. In many models, the door comes with a screen or even has a small fan mounted behind the screen. Besides its venting function, the screen is meant to protect the heater's inner mechanisms from dirt and insects.
Flying insects may pose a serious threat to the heater by building nests and creating obstacles to air flow, so the screen is quite a useful part. If your door doesn't have it, pick one from our selection of RV water heater access doors. Keeping the door itself in good working order is also crucial; there were cases when a broken or loose door fell off while driving, which is dangerous for other road users. If yours requires repair, replacement, or upgrade, here you can find everything necessary including replacement door latches, mounting brackets, locks, and many other components.
