RVing is a great way to explore the outdoors and spend quality time with your family and friends. RVs allow you to live in the wilderness and at the same time enjoy some of the common comforts of your home. Plus, to help you avoid that cramped feeling of tight space, most RVs have slide-outs, sections that can be expanded outwards from the side of the RV when it’s stationary to create a more spacious environment. Typically, there are two types of slide-outs: electric and hydraulic, each having their own advantages and drawbacks. Electric systems use an electric motor that drives the gear system and are most often found on small slides. Hydraulic systems are stronger and faster than their electric counterparts, which makes them perfect for larger and heavier slide-outs. They use a motor/pump assembly that triggers a hydraulic ram.
While slide-outs increase the living area of the RV, they often come with a few challenges. Electric slide-outs are subject to motor or gearbox failure, misalignment, electrical relay tripping, etc. Hydraulic slide-outs can malfunction if the pump or valve fails to operate, hydraulic fluid lines are worn out or develop leakage, etc. If you’re looking for reliable parts to repair the mechanism that drives your slide out, you’re in the right place. In our online store, we offer a premium selection of electric motors, actuators, wiring harnesses, reversing solenoids, cylinders, and many other RV slide-out parts and accessories. Made to meet the highest quality standards, the products stocked on our website are guaranteed to deliver superior reliability and performance, so you can enjoy a truly unforgettable camping experience.
