In order to live in comfort in your recreational vehicle, it has to be properly equipped. You will inevitably use plenty of water during your journey. To consume it with maximum efficiency, it's wise to separate fresh water for drinking from water used for cooking and washing. These kinds of water have to be stored in tanks located somewhere in a vehicle, not to mention so-called “black” water from the toilet. Most RVs are equipped with holding tanks to contain all these kinds of water, but you may need larger tank(s), replacement tanks instead of broken ones, or tanks featuring a different configuration according to your specific purposes.
Holding tanks should be filled and emptied the right way. For filling a freshwater tank, you should use only clean water and hoses; if it has contamination or smells bad, it's better to disinfect the tank. Also, it should be drained regularly to prevent water stagnation – enteric infections are definitely not what you want to face in a long journey. For getting rid of waste water, you will need an odor tight connection; it is provided by special hose fittings. Just in case, a portable holding tank can also be present among your stuff.
