Having an RV awning brings lots of advantages. It allows you to enjoy the comfort of shade on a hot summer day, keeps temperatures inside your motorhome cooler, and gives you more privacy by shading windows. Today, most RVs are equipped with a manual or automatic awning by default. The latter uses a motor to open and close. Over time, this motor wears down and fails. When that eventually happens, you can manually operate your awning or replace a faulty unit with one of our RV awning motors.
It fits in the tube roller and is powered by either 12V DC or 120 AC power. Surely, this unit doesn’t go bad all of a sudden. You may notice that the movement of an awning became jerky and it may get stuck in one position sometimes. The most common reason for its failure is damaged bearing and broken gears. That happens due to overheating as a result of excessive use or sun exposure. In our store, you will find a variety of replacement motors along with drive idler heads.
