One of the greatest appeals of RVing is being able to travel and still enjoy home-like amenities. After a day filled with adventures you don’t have to pitch a tent or spend a lot of dough to stay in a strange motel. Instead you can relax, eat, and sleep in comfortable and familiar surroundings. RV spec appliances are the features that make the difference between “roughing it” and enjoying the conveniences to which we’ve all become accustomed.

Like the appliances in your home, most RV appliances are designed to run on AC current, but they must be compact to make optimal use of the limited available space in the average RV and operate efficiently to use as little energy/water as possible. Power is supplied by an on-board generator, batteries via an inverter, or external hookup. Cooktops, furnaces, and most hot water heaters and refrigerators use propane for power from tanks carried on-board.

Making meals in your RV can save you from the expense of restaurant checks and the limitations of campfire cooking. You can control the ingredients for nutritious food cooked the way you like it. Electric or propane powered refrigerators allow food to be safely stored without the need to bother with ice and coolers. Propane powered ranges come with broilers and ovens, while cooktops come in drop in or slide in 2 or 3 burner versions. Both are available with match light or matchless one button piezo ignition, and many come with covers that provide additional counter space when the unit is not in use.

Another benefit of adventuring via RV is being able to take a hot shower at the end of the day and have hot water for cooking and cleaning. We offer a wide range of hot water heaters to suit every need. Tank-style heaters come in 4 to 16 gallon capacities with either electric or propane power, and some models are available with a heat exchanger that uses the heat from your engine’s cooling system. Another option is a tankless on-demand heater that delivers a continuous supply of hot water. It fits in the same space as a conventional water heater and is energy efficient, only using power when hot water is needed.
